Guest Post and a DIY for you

Good morning! Like what you see? Today I am over at Elsie Marley with a neat DIY for you in anticipation of Kids Clothing Week Challenge, fall edition.  Which is next week. Still time to get your inspiration on and if you need any, here's some for boys and some for girls. To say I'm a leeetle bit excited about being a guest on Elsie Marley is an understatement. I'm just not quite sure how to express it yet. Considering I thought I was doing it next week, I might start with a caffeinated beverage to go with my new bags. The ones under my eyes. And then maybe a fist pump. Yes I'll start with that.

Welcome friends of Elsie Marley!

  2. Very cute! I've only just found your blog but it excites me :D I'm Australian too and I used to live in Brissie but we moved to live in ... Toowoomba D:

I sew for one little dude in my life, my little punk toddler. I love all your stuff here, you've made me decide to get off my butt and use the backpack pattern I got from Rae and actually make Vince a backpack!

And i totally just bought that Heidi + Finn urban hoodie pattern I've been looking at for ages because the striped one you made is awesome! And I never buy patterns ^_^

  3. Awesome tutorial, Sophie! I've been thinking of what fabric to use to make something like that for my kids since I saw it! I know what you mean about the excitement, too. I can't "play it cool" either. It's pretty fun. :)

  6. teehee, got your comment on my blog! my email address is max@max-california.com which might be easier for us to converse ahha. if you go into your blog settings, under the FORMAT tab at the bottom there is a section called 'post template' with a space to pop in your html! I had heaps of line < br > tags [lol this comment bar won't let me do html] and then the image tag at the end so i have tonnes of spaces to write my post and then have the siggy automatically at the end :)

  8. You are kidding! U mean the telephone fabric...? Haha thats so funny that you bought some, does that mean you are going to make telephone stuffies or have you got something else in mind...

  9. Yeah still thinking..... maybe a skirt for me? a cushion? a bag? I have 3 sons so many options for them too .....pants would be cute. I would love to try your telephone stuffie idea but then I found that shirt you made..... so many options! Let me know if you want any more of the fabric, I live in Sydney so it would be easy to post.

  16. So cute, I just need to find some fabric that will suit and I'm totally gonna do this... Hmm I do have my eye on fabric with transistor radios on it. Kids like to play with transistor radios right? My little guy will just think they are phones anyways (everything is a phone these days, remotes, boxes, blocks etc.) P.S. Love your blog! I to am attempting to not by anything new for the kid (and me hopefully too)
